Our favorite free concert series is back! Downtown Rocks is one of the best parts about summer in Las Vegas – and even a little bit into fall. Nothing really beats free music, but when you pair it with Downtown Las Vegas and summer vacation, it definitely gets a lot better. Read on to learn more about these amazing and free Las Vegas concerts and the artists performing the rest of the year.
The Downtown Rocks Series is a summer concert event hosted by the Fremont Street Experience and casino partners in Downtown Las Vegas featuring some of the greatest headliners – all for free. Live music in Las Vegas is one of the best things the city has to offer, and making it free for everyone to enjoy is what makes Fremont Street so special. The concert series really kicks off toward the end of May, where there are free shows once a week nearly every week through October, with a break in August.
The performances take place either on the 1st St Stage or the 3rd St Stage, right in the heart of Fremont Street. Whether you’re at one of the bars nearby or in the crowd by the stage, you’ll be able to hear a range of artists, from Soulja Boy to Switchfoot to Neon Trees.

Grammy nominated and BET Award winning artist Soulja Boy Tell Em takes the stage this summer for an exciting night on Fremont Street. With hits like “Crank That (Soulja Boy)”, this show will be one you’ll want to dance along to with Soulja Boy’s undeniable talent as a live entertainer.
3rd St Stage, 9:00 pm
Selling over 22 million albums worldwide and two number one albums, this American rock band has been performing since the 80s and having fans rocking along to singles like “Lightning Crashes” and “I Alone”. Stop by Fremont Street at the end of June to catch an unforgettable +LIVE+ concert.

This Independence Day Weekend, kick off the holiday weekend with an amazing free concert with Switchfoot headlining. After touring over 40 countries and selling 10 million copies worldwide of their studio albums, get ready to belt out some of their hit singles like “Dare You to Move” and “Meant to Live”.
3rd St Stage, 9:30 pm
The Fourth of July Weekend fun doesn’t stop with just one Downtown Rocks concert! Also on July 1st, you’ll be able to see two-time Grammy nominated, certified Platinum, and certified Double Platinum band, Skillet. Performing since 1996 and still coming out with new music in 2023, you won’t want to miss this act.
3rd St Stage, 9:00 pm
Need a bit of a nostalgia boost this summer? The All-American Rejects will be taking on the 3rd St Stage this July to perform some of their biggest hits, like “Gives You Hell”, “Dirty Little Secret”, and “Move Along”. Get a taste of some early-2000s vibes and dance your heart out at this free Las Vegas concert.

After a short break, on Labor Day Weekend, Downtown Rocks is pulling out all the stops. With popular band Young the Giant, this will be sure to be one of the highlights of the holiday weekend. Sing along to “Mind Over Matter” and “My Body”, and make this free concert a must-do on your Labor Day Weekend trip.

If you know Neon Trees, you know “Everybody Talks” about how great they are. On September 16, see Neon Trees take over the Neon City. This multi-platinum band is one that will keep you on your feet as you dance along to singles like “Animal” and “Sleeping With a Friend”.

It’s time to throw some punk rock into your summer plans with a free Dashboard Confessional concert on Fremont Street. Hear some of their classics like “Vindicated” and “Hands Down”, and sing along to your favorite hits. This is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will fulfill your punk rock dreams.

Grammy-nominated Fastball will be kicking off the final night of Downtown Rocks on October 28. This Texas-based rock band will have you singing along to songs like “The Way” and “Out of My Head”. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see one of the most well-known indie rock bands perform live!

To round out this year’s Downtown Rocks free concert series, the Gin Blossoms will be giving a spectacular finale. Enjoy hits from their 1990s heyday, such as “Follow You Down” and “Hey Jealousy”, and dance to their classic pop-rock anthems while the sun sets on another successful Downtown Rocks.
