“Century Casino in Cripple Creek, which is partnering with Circa Sports to run its sports betting operation, recently reopened for slots and other games, but isn’t planning to have an in-person betting parlor for sports gambling, said Eric Rose, the gaming hall’s general manager.
Still, since its revenue-share arrangement for sports betting with Circa brings in some money, it’s looking forward to major games coming back, Rose said. ‘In the last few months I personally have watched more NASCAR than I usually do,’ he said.“

“CEO Derek Stevens said it’s fitting that Circa Resort & Casino finished installing a sign at the top of the 44-story tower on the opening day of Major League Baseball.
Stevens said he hopes the installation of the 34-foot-high C on the south face to complete Circa is literally a sign of things to come with the 777-room downtown resort whose hotel will open by the end of the year. The 1.25 million square-foot casino will first debut Oct. 28th in what will feature the world’s largest sportsbook at three stories and that accommodates 1,000 people.“
“Chris Bennett, baseball oddsmaker for sportsbook Circa Sports, wonders whether teams will use a five-man pitching rotation, allowing starters go deep into games, or more unorthodox strategies.
‘Maybe one of their regular starters begins the game and then after a few innings have one of their other starters follow him to potentially eat up seven or eight innings total,’ Bennett said. ‘That will be fundamentally different than how we’ve been booking baseball forever. It’s going to be very important that we’re keeping up with the news.’“

“How do the expanded playoffs impact AL and NL championship odds? It’s very much the same answer as the World Series question. Chris Bennett, sportsbook manager for Circa Sports, said the bottom-rung teams saw adjustments, but there were virtually no changes to any other teams.
‘I tightened the odds on some of the worst teams – the (Baltimore) Orioles, (Pittsburgh) Pirates, (San Francisco) Giants. Nothing drastic,’ Bennett said, noting those teams were among those adjusted in World Series futures, too.“
